My East FM Interview: A Conversation About Counselling and Mental Health

I recently had the opportunity to sit down with East FM and talk about counselling, mental health, and the work I do through Four Pillars Counselling.

During the conversation, I shared a little about my background, what led me into the counselling profession, and the approach I bring to supporting individuals and couples (Gottman Method). We also discussed the value of having a supportive and non-judgmental space where people can better understand what they are experiencing, work through difficult patterns, and identify practical ways forward.

Counselling does not always need to begin with a crisis. People often reach out because they feel stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected, uncertain about a relationship, or simply ready to make a meaningful change in their lives.

Thank you to East FM for inviting me to have this conversation, and to Crawford Wellness for making the interview available online.

Four Pillars Counselling provides individual and couples counselling from Crawford Wellness in Howick, along with online counselling throughout New Zealand.
