FOUR PILLARS TOGETHER

Practical support,
on your own time.

Not everything needs a counselling appointment.

Four Pillars Together is the self-guided side of Four Pillars Counselling: practical online programmes being developed to help you reflect, connect and try something useful in everyday life.

Developed with Jon Kirk, founder of Four Pillars Counselling, the programmes bring together counselling-informed ideas, guided activities and practical tools you can explore at your own pace.

A different way to get support

Counselling gives you a relationship with a counsellor and support shaped around what is happening in your life.

Four Pillars Together is different. These educational programmes offer guided activities, reflections and conversations you can explore independently, with a partner or alongside another carer, depending on the programme.

They do not include appointments with a counsellor. Choose a short activity, take a little time with it and return when it suits.

Counselling or a programme?

A programme offers structured education and activities you can explore independently. Counselling offers personalised support and an ongoing therapeutic relationship.

You do not have to treat them as competing choices. A programme may give you something useful to reflect on, while counselling gives you a space to explore your own circumstances more fully.

Four Pillars Together programmes are educational resources. They are not an individual assessment, a counselling service or a substitute for healthcare or crisis support. They are not intended to address abuse, coercion or immediate safety concerns.

From Four Pillars Counselling

Four Pillars Together grew from a simple idea: useful psychological and relationship tools should not only exist inside a counselling room.

The programmes are being developed with Jonathan Kirk, PMNZAC, founder of Four Pillars Counselling, with an emphasis on practical, human and accessible learning.

Practical. Human. At your pace.
